My boss says Friday is my last day. I've worked here three years. Is that enough notice?

  • get_section · Employment Act, s 21 (Brunei)

Probably not. Under section 22(3)(c) of the Employment Act, three years' service means at least 2 weeks' written notice. Your contract's notice period applies first (s 22(2)), and the Act's minimum applies only if the contract is silent. Notice given today would end about 14 October, not this Friday, unless you agreed to waive notice (s 22(4)). This may not cover misconduct dismissals (s 23). Check your contract and consider contacting the Labour Commissioner.

  1. Step 1Open Customize, then ConnectorsIn Claude, open Customize and choose Connectors.
  2. Step 2Add a custom connectorClick the plus button, choose Add custom connector, and paste https://bruneilaws.com/mcp. Leave the advanced settings empty: bruneilaws needs no sign-in.
  3. Step 3Ask as usualWhen you ask, use the plus button, then Connectors, and switch bruneilaws on. Ask about your situation: you will see Claude read the section it cites.

Custom connectors are available on Claude and Claude Desktop for Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector first (Organization settings, Connectors). Steps from Anthropic's documentation, read 30 Sep 2026. We have not run this app ourselves yet, so the screens may differ a little.

From the vendor's own documentation: Claude Help Center: Get started with custom connectors using remote MCP (read 30 Sep 2026)

Connectors depend on your AI app and plan.

05 — Questions

Good to know

Does it cost anything?

Using Brunei law in your AI is free. It reads public law only, never your notebooks.

Can my AI give me legal advice?

It can explain the law and show where it comes from. For advice on your own case, speak to a lawyer.

Which AI apps work?

Any app that supports connectors, also called MCP. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code all do. Steps differ by app and plan.

How do I switch it off?

Remove it in your AI app. It stops straight away.
