s 53Inspection of banks

(1)

The Authority shall inspect, under conditions of confidentiality, the books, accounts and transactions of any bank in Brunei Darussalam and of any branch, agency or office outside Brunei Darussalam opened by a bank incorporated or registered in Brunei Darussalam.

(2)

Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), such inspection may be conducted in respect of activities of the bank that are regulated or licensed under any written law.
