s 54Special investigation of banks

The Authority may at any time make an investigation, under conditions of confidentiality, of the books, accounts and transactions of any bank in Brunei Darussalam, if it has reason to believe that any bank —

(a)

is carrying on its business in a manner likely to be detrimental to the public interest or the interests of the creditors or depositors of such bank;

(b)

has insufficient assets to cover its liabilities to the public; or

(c)

is contravening any provision of this Act.
