The Authority may provide facilities, including intra-day credit, to payment, clearing and securities settlement systems, and their participants, to ensure the safety, soundness and efficiency of such systems, without prejudice to the development and management of an inter-bank funds system under section 36(1)(gJ.
(2}
The Authority may organise, participate in and operate systems referred to in subsection ( 1).
