Section 40

(1)

The Authority may require banks to hold minimum reserves on deposit accounts with the Authority in pursuance of its monetary policy.

(2)

These required reserves shall be the same for all banks for each category of liabilities and may be remunerated.

(3)

The Authority shall, establish the method for calculating the minimum reserves required to be maintained under subsection (1).
