s 6Registration of minors

(1)

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan may cause the minor child of any subject of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan to

Brunei Nationality

be registered as a subject of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan upon application made in the prescribed manner by a parent or guardian of the child.

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan may, in such special circumstances as he thinks fit, cause any minor to be registered as a subject of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan.

For the purposes of this section, “parent” in relation to a child whose adoption has been registered means the adopter.
