s 17Offences

Any person who, for the purpose of procuring anything to be done or not to be done under this Act, makes any statement which he knows to be false in any material particular, or recklessly makes any statement which is false in any material particular, is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine of $10,000 and imprisonment for 3 years.
