s 21

In order to be qualified for membership of a co-operative society, a person, other than a registered society, must —

(a)

be a citizen of Brunei Darussalam or a permanent resident;

(b)

have attained the age of 18 years or, if he is a member of a school co-operative society, have attained the age of 12 years and be a registered student of that school; and

(c)

meet such other requirements regarding residence, employment and occupation, as may be prescribed by the by-laws, except that no person shall be admitted to membership who is legally or mentally disabled or who is a bankrupt or against whom a conviction stands for an offence punishable with imprisonment.
