s 27Person to cease activity

(1)

Where a person is charged with an offence against this Act, the person shall immediately cease the activity for which he is charged.

(2)

Any person who fails to comply with the provision of subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or both and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding

$200,000 for every day or part thereof during which the offence continues after conviction.
