If the Attorney General intends to seek a person’s extradition to
Brunei Darussalam, he may, by notice in writing, authorise the taking of evidence for use in any proceedings for the extradition of that person to
Brunei Darussalam.
A magistrate may take the evidence of each witness on oath and shall —
cause it to be reduced to writing and certify as to the taking of the evidence; and
cause it and the certificate to be sent to the Attorney General.
The person in relation to whom the evidence is being taken is not entitled to be represented while the evidence is being taken.
