Extradition Act · s 32
Tell us what is wrong in this text. We check every suggestion against the official version before we change anything.
A magistrate shall not conduct extradition proceedings unless he is satisfied that both the person sought and the designated country have had reasonable time to prepare for the conduct of the proceedings.
During the extradition proceedings, the magistrate shall hear the case in the same manner and have the same jurisdiction and powers, as near as may be, as if that person was accused of an offence committed within his jurisdiction.
In the proceedings, that person is not entitled to adduce evidence, and the magistrate is not entitled to receive evidence to contradict an allegation that he has engaged in conduct that constitutes the offence for which extradition is sought.
