7. Article 11 arrangements

If —
Brunei Darussalam has entered into an agreement or arrangement; and
the Minister is satisfied that the agreement or arrangement is of a kind mentioned in Article 11 of the Basel Convention, the Minister shall, by notice published in the Gazette, declare that the agreement or arrangement is an Article 11 arrangement for the purposes of this Act.
A declaration under this section shall have effect accordingly.
Hazardous Waste (Control of Export,
waste
“waste” means a substance or object that is — (a) proposed to be disposed of; (b) disposed of; or (c) required by any written law to be disposed of.
Import and Transit)
The Minister shall revoke a declaration made under this section if he ceases to be satisfied of the matter referred to in subsection (1)(b).
A revocation made under subsection (3) shall be published in the
Gazette.

Defined · s 2“Basel Convention” means the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal and any amendment or protocol thereto which has come into force and has been accepted by the Government, a copy of the English text of which is set out in the Schedule;
