47. Change of religion

(1)

The fact that either party to a marriage becomes an apostate or converts to a faith other than Islam shall not by itself operate to dissolve the marriage unless confirmed by the Court.

(2)

The fact that either party to a marriage converts to Islam shall not by itself operate to dissolve the marriage unless confirmed by the Court.
