His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan shall appoint a public officer to be a Senior Marriage Registrar.

“Senior Marriage Registrar” means the Marriage Registrar for Brunei Darussalam. Capacity to marry.
His Majesty the Sultan Yang Di-Pertuan may appoint public officers to be Marriage Registrars for any place, area or district.
