s 439Whoever intentionally runs any vessel aground or ashore -

(a)

intending to commit theft of any property contained therein, or to dishonestly misappropriate any such property; or

(b)

with intent that such theft or misappropriate of property may be committed, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years and whipping with not less than 6 strokes.
