NOW THEREFORE WE in exercise of the powers conferred upon US by the

Constitution of Brunei Darussalam do hereby proclaim that the Legislative

Council is or has been properly and validly constituted, notwithstanding that no Members have been appointed under any one or more of sub-paragraphs /aj{(i)

to (iv) or under sub-paragraph /b) of paragraph 1.

Done at OUR Istana Nurul Iman, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam this 6th. day of Syaaban, the Hijriah of Prophet Muhammad (on Whom be the benediction and peace of ALLAH) one thousand, four hundred and twenty-six corresponding to the 10th. day of September, .two thousand and five, being the thirty-eighth year of OUR Reign in Brunei Darussalam.
