Section 24

(1)

Any person who knowingly lets a house or other building, or part of a house or building, in which any person has been suffering from an infectious disease, without having such house or other building or part thereof and all articles therein liable to retain infection disinfected to the satisfaction of the health officer, as testified by such officer’s certificate, shall be guilty of an offence: Penalty, a fine of $400.

For the purpose of this section a hotel, boarding-house or lodging-house keeper shall be deemed to let part of his house to any person admitted as a guest into his hotel, boarding-house or lodging-house.
