s 297Post-mortem examination of body

(1)

On receiving the information referred in section 296. a medical officer shall, as soon as practicable. make post-ntortem examination of the body of the deceased.

(2)

The medical officer shall, if it is necessary in order to ascertain the cause of death. extend the examination to the dissection of the body and an analysis of any portion thereof, and may cause any portion thereof to be transmitted to the Director General of Medical Services.
