This Order may be cited as the Syariah Courts Evidence Order, 2001

and shall commence on such date or dates to be appointed by the Minister, with the approval of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, by notification in the

Gazette.

Different dates may be appointed under subsection ( 1) for different provisions of this Order or for different purposes of the same provision.

(3)

The long title of this Order is "An Order relating to the law of evidence for the Syariah Courts".
