TELECOMMUNICATIONS (COMPOSITION OF OFFENCES)

REGULATIONS, 2019

Preamble

In exercise of the power conferred by section 67(2) of the

Telecommunications Order, 2001, the Authority for Info-communications

Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam, with the approval of the Minister of

Transport and Info-communications, hereby makes the following Regulations —

Citation

s 1These Regulations may be cited as the Telecommunications (Composition of

Offences) Regulations, 2019.

s 2Compoundable offences

The following offences may be compounded by any police officer not below rank of Inspector specially authorised in that behalf by the Minister, or any employee of the Authority specially authorised in that behalf by the Chief

Executive, in accordance with section 67(1) —

(a)

any offence against section 21(3), 29(6) or (9), 31(1), 32, 33(1), (3) or

(4)

, 34(2}, 35(1) or (3), 39, 40(1), 45, 46, 48, 49(1), (2) or (3), 52 or 62(6); and

(b)

any offence against the Telecommunications (Radio-Communication) Regulations, 2013 (S 86/2013).

Made this 14th. day of Rabiulakhir 1441 Hijriah corresponding to the 11th.
