54. Maximum age limit for detention in place of detention, approved home or approved school

Subject to section 84(3) —

(a)

no person shall be detained in a place of detention after he has attained the age of 18 years; and

(b)

no person shall be detained in an approved school or an approved home after he has attained the age of 19 years.
