s 39Person supplying food and water

(1)

The master, owner or agent of every vessel and any person supplying food and water to the vessel shall ensure that the food and water supplied to the vessel is fit for human consumption.

(2)

The master, owner or any person in charge of any vessel employed for carrying food or water intended for human consumption shall ensure that his vessel and the food and water receptacles therein are in a clean and sanitary condition.

(3)

Any person who contravenes this section is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
