Any person who —
without reasonable excuse refuses or fails to comply with an order under section 51(1)(b), (c) or (d);
in purported compliance with an order made under section 51(1)(b) or (c), furnishes to the Authority or transmits to a regulatory authority any material or copy thereof known to the person to be false or misleading in a material particular; or
Authority
“Authority” means the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank established under the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank Order, 2010;
in purported compliance with an order made under section 51(1)(d), makes a statement to the Authority that is false or misleading in a material particular, is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding
material
“material” includes any information, book, document or other record in any form whatsoever, and any container or article relating thereto; Payment and Settlement Systems (Oversight)
$10,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or both.
Authority
“Authority” means the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank established under the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank Order, 2010;
material
“material” includes any information, book, document or other record in any form whatsoever, and any container or article relating thereto; Payment and Settlement Systems (Oversight)
regulatory authority
“regulatory authority”, in relation to a foreign country, means an authority of the foreign country exercising any function that corresponds to a regulatory function of the Authority under this Act;
