Where the offender is sentenced to imprisonment, the following
. .
provisions apply -
•
the Syariah Court passing the sentence shall forthwith forward a warrant to the prison in which he is to be confined and,
Syriah Courts 114 CAP.
Crilwinal Procedure Code unless the offender is already confined in such prison, shall send him in the custody of the Religious Enforcement Officer or the police to a such prison with the warrant;
Religious Enforcement Officer
"Religious Enforcement Officer" has the same meaning assigned to it under the Syariah Courts Act;
every warrant for the execution of a sentence of imprisonment shall be forwarded to the officer in charge of the prison or any other place where the offender is to be confined:
when the offender is to be confined in a prison. the warrant shall be handed over to the officer in charge of the prison;
every sentence of imprisonment shall take effect from the date on which it was passed, uilless the Syariah Court passing the sentence otherwise directs.
Religious Enforcement Officer
"Religious Enforcement Officer" has the same meaning assigned to it under the Syariah Courts Act;
