Part · Jurisdiction

6. Exclusion of other jurisdictions

In plain English

Once a tribunal claim is filed, related proceedings cannot be brought in another court. This does not apply if the other court case began first, or the tribunal claim is withdrawn or abandoned. A claim that another court is dealing with or has decided cannot go to a tribunal. A claim counts as filed once section 15 is followed.
